More Figure Drawings

Last night's figure drawings. Same great model as two sessions ago. Didn't get a chance to ask her name, unfortunately. A fun session, but I wish I had a little more time to finish some of these (the longest pose was 20 minutes). Sorry for the poor image quality. I usually shoot midday in the shade for even lighting, but the rainy day didn't cooperate.

Prospect Park panther

A sketch I did on a break from projects this afternoon. The panthers were sculpted by Alexander Phimister Proctor, and were cast in 1898 in Paris. They were then shipped to Brooklyn and set atop limestone pillars at the 3rd st. entrance. More info on the sculptures here.

Such a beautiful day to be drawing outside. I feel very lucky.

Figures

A few fruitful figure drawings sketched at Brooklyn Artist's Gym on Monday night.

This one's pretty wonky (her legs are much too short, among other things), but it has some nice elements.

Sketches of Rita

Just a few sketchbook things.

Figures

Man, I've really dried up the options as far as clever titles for these figure sketch posts. Anyway, here are a bunch from yesterday. Excellent, excellent model last night at Brooklyn Artist's Gym. Cheers!

Figure sketches

On Wednesday, I had the pleasure of drawing Blane Charles. Blane has a talk show in Manhattan called Elements of Fierce.

Figure Sketches

These are of a great model named Jill I drew last night at the University of Hartford open figure drawing. She told me she once met a dog named Declan. I can only hope he was a charming pooch.
