Her nose might be kinda funky here. It was a dramatic angle. See her in person to judge for yourself.

Rita reading

Rita was sweet enough to sit for me (on an improvised model-stand comprised of a coffee table found on the sidewalk, with a chair atop it). Her feet are perched on a small book shelf...but at least I positioned her directly next to the radiator. Need to come up with a better solution. Also a five-minute self-portrait (drawn after drinking a couple of old-fashioneds...my ears aren't really that big).

A friend handed me some compressed charcoal and conte crayon at this session, which forced me to deviate from what's become my regular impulse: vine charcoal.
