Prospect Park panther

A sketch I did on a break from projects this afternoon. The panthers were sculpted by Alexander Phimister Proctor, and were cast in 1898 in Paris. They were then shipped to Brooklyn and set atop limestone pillars at the 3rd st. entrance. More info on the sculptures here.



Such a beautiful day to be drawing outside. I feel very lucky.

Figures

A few fruitful figure drawings sketched at Brooklyn Artist's Gym on Monday night.


This one's pretty wonky (her legs are much too short, among other things), but it has some nice elements.
